The Benefits – your WHY

Your website should be out there working for you even when you are not!

Search Engine Optimisation ensures that your website is doing its best work in getting you found online, bringing new leads and clients to you 24/7

Whether justified or not, when your clients can find you on search engines this makes you more credible in their eyes and increases trust.

There is a certain amount of understanding that getting found takes consistency and effort, so if you are showing up in search then you can be taken more seriously.

Bringing more traffic to your website means more leads. As long as you are able to convert a good percentage of these this leads to more sales. More sales mean more income and profit in your business. Who doesn’t want that??

These are just some examples of the benefits of getting found more easily online, I’m sure you have some of your own that you could add to the list!

Top Tips

We do love some good tips, here are our top 3 to get started with search engine optimisation

KISS – Keep it simple

Focus on what’s important to your clients.

Search Engines’ algorithms are increasingly focussed on improving the experiences of their users, real people, so if you focus on providing a good experience to your website visitors, real people, it will contribute to your search results as well.

For example, does your website work correctly on mobile/tablet?

TIME – People are busy, make sure you don’t waste their time!

Does your website load quickly?

Pagespeed affects user experience as well as search results, so it is well worth the effort it takes to improve performance.

VALUE – Add as much value as you can.

Does your website offer value to your visitors?

Are you posting, and sharing, valuable content?

Is your website content useful, educational, interesting?

What are the key factors to improve SEO (The Techy Bit!)

Oh, the VOLUMES we could write on this! Let’s keep it as simple as possible, shall we?

Keywords

Make sure the words in your content match what you expect people to search for – do some research on what is actually being used in search as it may not be what you expect.

Mobile

Make sure that your website is mobile friendly – use the Google tool to test and also look at your site on mobile to make sure that it is as easy to use as possible.

Speed

Test your website’s page speed and make any improvements possible

There are a ton of other factors here, we say SEO is like a jigsaw, but improving these points initially will give results. Check out our SEO service for further improvements or book a (free) call to chat about how we can help.

Andrea @ Coppertops

I help small Irish businesses get found online with clear websites, simple marketing, and tech that behaves itself.

Work with me your way:
done‑for‑you if you want it handled,
done‑with‑you if you want a partner,
or do‑it‑yourself with a helping hand.

Through Chemistry Calls, website builds the Coppertops way, and the Nurture IT membership, we make digital feel doable.

Expect straight answers, tidy systems, and gentle encouragement to press publish. Empowering people to do what they thought they couldn’t is my favourite part of the job.

My background is a path from Chemistry to Computer Science to Web Technology, where I found strong feelings about building websites that work rather than just look pretty. Adding marketing, design and strategy skills to that technical foundation means that at Coppertops we build your website to work for your business and to visually represent you online - a site that you can love and feel proud to share!
