Our latest undertaking was an e-commerce website. It was an interesting challenge. The customer had come to us seeking to upgrade his existing site that was out of date and non-responsive. They also wanted to include an online shop and to create some social media accounts for the business.

We began as we do with all our projects, with a meeting with the clients to discuss the goals of the website and to define exactly what they wanted to sell online. We undertook some analysis of the current marketplace to ensure that we provided the best customer focused website we could.

The best part of this project were the products, in this case, amazing mohair clothing with beautiful, vibrant colours. This informed the design we created for the website, using a lot of white space that allowed the colours of the garments to shine. We were lucky in that the customer had already invested in high-quality photography which enabled us to upload a 360 degree spin of the product for almost every garment in the shop. By including a currency converter the shop allows the buyer to see the final price in his or her own currency, thereby reducing cart abandonment rate.

Once the design for the site was decided, we were able to create similar branding for the existing Facebook page and for the new Instagram account for the business. This is the type of product that is MADE for Instagram and Pinterest
