The Magic when our Whys Collide
It struck me this morning that we tend to think of things in opposition where often they are more similar than we think.
My why in my business – why we started Coppertops, why I continue to do what I do, why I continue to LOVE what I do and the people I do it for/with – can feel like it’s in conflict with my clients’ why – growing their business, managing their costs, seeking an easy (or easier!!) life.
In fact, the beauty is when our whys collide!
My why is that I love seeing my clients growth and success – at least as much as my own. I love to see their sales increase, to hear that they’re hiring because they’re TOO BUSY! I love when they ask me to stop running ads because they can’t keep up with the influx of clients. It lights me up!
I also love when they tell me they feel in control, know where their stuff is, can see how it all fits together and (key here!) how it can best work for them. THAT really lights me up!
I had a message from a client one day asking for help. By the time I replied he’d sent another message – so proud that he’d figured it out himself. 💡
This week I’ve been sharing proposals for the Trading Online Voucher.
For me, an exercise in aligning my offers with individual needs of each client right now.
One told me that when she mentioned TOV to other suppliers the standard response is it’s a standard €5k project. The max is not a requirement!
For me, the key in any proposal is to cram in as much value as I can, make sure that each client gets the most bang for the buck they have right now.
It works for you, reducing pressure instead of ramping up the pressure I know you’re already under!
… and it works for me, too, because supporting you in growth means that we can build a connection, a relationship, to grow your business together over time.
It’s easy to lose sight of the important stuff. With so much info, opinions, etc flying at us it can be hard to filter out the gold from the bull****
Knowing why we choose what we do, what’s really important, makes it easier to pan for gold in the stream and let go of what isn’t in our best interest.
Whether it’s people, information, strategies, choices, filter and remove what isn’t in alignment and create bandwidth to focus on what IS, that’s the stuff that will work for us not against us and allow us to grow into our potential.
